After extensive searching online, looking for reviews on a few places, we were able to narrow it down to two places, LaLuna, Grenada and Ladera, St. Lucia. We were torn between the two since they both seem to be very beautiful and unique in their own way, not to mention both get rave reviews.

However, from the few that were kind of enough to reply to my questions, with bits and pieces of advise I found on this site and with our hearts being set on LaLuna we decided to book LaLuna today for our trip in August 2004. Not to worry because next year we?ll definitely stay at Ladera, St. Lucia.

Thanks to this website and to all that posted trip reports and to the comments on the good and dreadful experiences of their trips. It?s a big world out there filled with an array of rare exotic islands, yet you all made it a lot easier since we are not just basing our decision on the appearance of their website or a travel agent?s advise but actual traveler?s experience. Thank you all so much.

Booking this afternoon, can anyone recommend particular cottage deluxe room number that offers the best of an unobstructed view and most private? I?ve read #8 has a good view but with path to #9 and #10 right in front of the deck. I?ve also read that cottage #5 has an okay view but with a cottage below obstructing the view. Someone wrote they stayed in #8 but thought #6 or #7 would probably offer more privacy but didn?t comment on the views? Any thoughts?

I?m hoping Charles will be kind enough to accommodate us with specific requests.
