I'll be on Grand Bahama Island during the last week of April. I'm interested in booking some of the tours from Calabash Ecoadventures or Grand Bahama Nature Tours and am wondering how far in advance I need to do this in order to get the tours that I want. If I book tours from my hotel desk once I get on the island, will I likely be successful - or will most tours be booked up already?

Freeport is all there is on Grand Bahama except for
West End and a lot of beaches. Just a casino and some
shopping areas. I have always waited to book tours till I get there.
Happy Travels!
From what I've seen, Grand Bahama doesn't get exceedingly busy (it's actually a bit deserted) -- perhaps check cruise ship arrival schedule to get away from these groups but pre-booking might lock you in un-necessarily.
Thanks to qwovadis and fishee for the info. I'd definitely like to check the cruise ship arrival schedule for Freeport/Port Lucaya, but haven't successfully located it online. Any suggestions?
Hi CVB,
I was able to book a (kayaking/Gold Rock Beach) tour with Grand Bahama Nature Tours during the Christmas/New Years season no problem upon arrival to the island. If I were to do it again, I'd wait until I arrived again.
Best wishes, Daniel
Thanks, Daniel. Very helpful. Your comment has me definitely reassured about getting a tour or two while I'm there.
Cheers,
CVB
