Bluebeard's Beach Club

Does any one have feedback on Bluebeards Beach Club? We are going in a month and wondering what the hotel offers for activities and location. We would like to spend some time on St. Johns and day excursions to other parts of the island, and are wondering if public transportation is available or if we need to rent a car. Thank you.
