We need a reasonable hotel in San Juan before flying out early the next morning. We want something clean, somewhat attractive, with a pool and beach access for kids, and close to the airport.
Will this fit the bill?

The hotel is in the Condado - about 15 minutes to the airport. It has a pool but it is not on the beach. You can see a picture of the pool at www.travelandsports.com..Type Best Western Pierre in the search box.
From what I remember, the hotel is actually in Santurce, although I could be mistaken. I have stayed there several times, but not in the past couple of years. It was fine for something affordable in a convenient area. After all, I went back, right?
I have friends who stayed there last year before a cruise, and also liked it. The hotel was in the process of renovations at the time, so I'm sure it must be fresher now.
There is also a large grocery store across the street, as well as some other restaurants nearby, from what I remember. I was also told the beach is only a few blocks away and a fairly easy walk, but I never went.
You might also want to check prices for Hampton Inn in Isla Verde. It's very close to the airport and also on the affordable side. I don't think the beach is necessarily close, but we saw lots of kids at their pool when we stayed there.
