We were in Antigua late April/early May a few years ago, and the weather was perfect, as a matter of fact, we always go to the carbbean at the same time of year, just for that reason, and have never been disappointed. I believe that hurricane season runs from early June (rare) to the end of October. This time works out well for a visit to Antigua, because the have their annual International Sailing Regatta. Antigua is a very quiet island, and the regatta adds a little life to it. We met people of many different nationalities in the evenings, when they would relax and party some at the beach bars. During the day it was a beautiful sight to see all those sailboats racing around the island, especially from Shirley Heights (a great Sunday hangout w/ live reggae music). Enjoy your trip!

Living in FL, i know right when hurricane season is. It starts June 1 and ends Dec 1. We are going to Antigua in mid-June. I would not plan a vacation there anytime in August or Sept. Those are when the hurricanes are most likely. Sometimes going into October too. Just my opinion though. Have fun!

I live in Antigua and know that statistics over the last 100 years say that 90% of hurricanes have happened between mid-August and end September. Hugo in '89 was end August; Luis in '95 was early Sept.; Georges in '98 was last Sept., while last year Jose was late October and Lenny late November. <BR>As far as the best time to visit from mid-April to end June is a great time to visit.

The best time to visit Antigua or any Caribb destination is when the snow is up to your neck and the temperature is below 0 degrees!!! But the Caribb is becoming an increasing popular destination anytime of year! Hurricane Season starts July 1 and ends December 1.
