Simply cannot decide which island has the best snorkeling (don't scuba) with the best white beaches. Don't want busy Cayman; would like some culture and tropical terrain, like palm trees and coconuts, casino for nite life would be neat. any and all suggestions i'd love to hear. thanks!
best snorkeling & white beaches?

Anguilla is a quiet, peaceful island with spectacular beaches and some of the best snorkelling in the Caribbean. Plus it's a short ferry ride from St. Maarten/St. Martin, which has some of the best dining, shopping and nightlife in the Caribbean. It's truly one of those best of both worlds situations.
thanks! which islands have the black sand beaches, which i want to avoid.
Can't agree with above that Anguilla has some of the best snorkeling. That wasn't our experience. We've also snorkeled Grand Cayman, St. Thomas, St. John, Turks & Caicos, Harbor Island. St. John is a much better choice, and when we visited St. Thomas (albiet 13 yrs. ago,) it had the best snorkeling of all, but several hurricanes did some damage to the coral reefs since, not sure how it is now.)
I will say though, that we absolutely loved Anguilla and we love to snorkel and dive, but would still go back in a heartbeat despite it not being the best for that.
From what I understand St. Lucia is the primary island that can boast black sand.
