Best snorkeling in the Caribbean (not St. John or Grand Cayman)???
Planning a family vacation to the Caribbean and would like a place that has restaurants, house/villa rental (don't want a hotel) and good off the beach snorkeling.
We have been to St John and Grand Cayman and may end up going back to one of the two, but I was wondering if there are any other islands we should consider??
Mexico is not an option (we became sick the one time we visited and though I understand that may be avoidable if we take precautions, we don't want to do down that road again).
Thanks!!

Rent a villa on Mahoe Bay, Virgin Gorda. Wonderful 1/2 mile long golden sand beach lapped by gin clear calm waters. A fantastic "triple" reef that runs the entire length of the bay starts about 100' off shore. Villas are all privately owned, upscale and area is very private. Beach has western exposure with spectacular views of neighboring islands/cays and the setting sun. In short, it simply doesn't get better anywhere in the Caribean. Island has a good variety of restaurants.
