Best Hotel in Turks?

Still looking for a girls 40th bday destination.
I am changing the topic from my original because I have decided not to
go to a bunch of the islands that I originally tagged for one reason or another. Mainly b/c girls had already been and wanted something new.
I really want to get a better understanding of what the best hotels are in
the Turks. (5 star). Really want to relax at the beach, spa, etc. so want great service. May venture out for a snorkle trip or a restaurant or two.
Is Grace Bay Club the best? PS. Parrot Cay is out.
Our back up is Ritz in Caymans so if you have been to both even better.
My main priority is safety and being able to chill at the beach / pool.
Is end of May a good time to be in the Turks????
Thanks for help again.

Great time to go, and should have some specials.
Budget helps, but some of the best, but they do have different personalities:

Gansevoort
Regent Palms
Somerset
Point Grace
Seven Stars
Grace Bay Club

I haven't been to the Ritz , but we used to go to Grand Cayman frequently. Seven Mile beach is nice, but nowhere near as spectacular as Grace Bay Beach in Turks and Caicos. Also that whole area on and off the beach is much more commercial than Turks. I used to think of it as Miami in the Caribbean.

Blamona of that list of 6 do you have a top three and what is the different personality.
I noticed at Grace Bay the hotel adults only pool seemed
VERY small. You can't use estates pool but can use Villas pool but is that going to be with tons of kids. Leaving kids at home so really just want a relaxing vacation.
Thanks for the cayman / TC scoop. How is safety at any of the above TC places?
Thanks

TCI is very safe...we have stayed at many of the resorts mentioned, I would choose the Regent Palms, world class spa (so beautiful, my wife does a treatment everyday), 2 excellent restaurants on site, many very near, beautiful suites, fantastic staff!!

I have not been to Grand Cayman but I am familiar with The Turks and Caicos. Its a beautiful island, very safe and the locals are very friendly. When I went, I stayed on Grace Bay at the Alexandra Resort and Spa. It is very nice resort with many activities to choose from as well as great spa treatments. They also have the Mango Reef Restaurant which is very popular and delicious!!!!! They have NADA play live there and it is quite the happening spot.

Ramona's list hit the nail on the head I think - Grace Bay has some amazing beachfront luxury resorts - that's for sure!

FYI -- Alexandra is NOT in the same class as the others listed above.

I agree with Carib, Alex not even close to same league of what you're looking for. Nothing wrong with it, but when you want the best, Alex is a nice mid range property when you're more on a budget.

Picking my top 3 is like having 6 kids and asking me which 3 I love more!

Better if you tell us more about you and travelers personalities to help. (want to relax, snorkel, do you need some nightlife, rent a car, excursions, crowded, quiet, etc)

Strictly my opinions of what I listed:

Gansevoort, very chic, South Miami vibe. Need car for best restaurants and what little shopping there is. Close to snorkel. Beautiful people and DJs on weekends. This is actually my first choice for girls getaway.

Regent Palms, best spa on island, on cover of numerous mags. Old Caribbean charm, people watching. For me the upscale choice for families (meaning kids)

Somerset, upscale yet laid back. Prettiest architecture on the island.

Point Grace, small boutique resort. Gorgeous landscaping with a zen like feel. Cool rolls Royce for getting around. Very quite.

Seven Stars, bigger property, but everything is bigger. Bigger pool, bigger bathrooms. Central location so you can walk to supermarket (nice one, including organics a special foods, it's awesome) walk to small shops, numerous restaurants. Great Deck Bar on the dunes with tiki torches, fire pits and couches. This one feels closest to a Ritz.

Grace Bay Club, feels like a Four Seasons. Gorgeous architecture, long beachfront. Adults only restaurant, 3 pools, one adults only. I find the adult only pool to be plenty big, and very chic. Villas section includes kids and has swim up bar and its own restaurant. If you stay at Estates, you can use all facilities including adult only pool. This one seems to be the choice of celebrities.

Please tell us where you decide!

Point grace should read pretty quiet.

Seven stars has the biggest pool.

One of he safest islands in Caribbean. And what really makes you relax is no beach vends bugging you all day, just an upscale 12 mile beach.

Thank you SO much for all of the information!!!!
This is awesome. Thanks for the tips on safety.
New York Times just had a huge article on Turks. Not sure if anyone saw it. It really sealed the deal and matched what others have been saying.

Ok, we are making progress and have it down to
three.
Seven Stars (several hundred dollars less- last two same price)
Regent Palms
Grace Bay Club

Celebrating 40th for girls trip and leaving kids at home.
Don't want a quiet hotel. Like a scene to people watch, etc.
I guess main priority is a fabulous resort as we will spend majority of our time at pool/beach/spa. Do want to take a boat tour one day to snorkle GB reef, see parrot cay, conch farm. Will probably venture out a night or two to eat. I hear something (?) Bistro is good and the restaurant at GB??
We are NOT renting a car and are fine to take taxi's.

HELP!!!!!

Of your 3 -- Regent Palms for sure-world class spa, great dining, fun pool bar, beautiful suites, very high end luxury, excellent staff! The restaurant is Coco Bistro-reserve ahead.
Also, walk next door to Mango Reef, casual but great food, O'Soleil at The Somerset-excellent restaurant as well.

Booked the Regent Palms. Thanks to everyone for all your help.
Lastly, which is the best boat for a snorkle trip.
Caicos Dream Tours?
Also, I have Coco Bistro, Anacanda Grace Bay/infinity bar, mango, conch farm, great barrier reef on the list.
What else is a must see place or restaurant?
Thanks again to all. Can't wait.

Bay Bistro for lunch or even better dinner, can walk east on the beach...not far just on the other side of The Somerset. (Great restaurants there too)

Caicos dreams tour is awesome, as is Island Vibes.

My favs: coco bistro, bay bistro. Forget Anacaona.
Tue night BBQ at Somerset next door on the beach.
Thur Justspliff at Somewhere at coral gardens
Sat start at the Deck at 7 Stars followed by DJ at Gansevoort
Lunch at Da Conch Shack

With car explore the other beaches with different personalities, Sapadilla bay, Taylor bay, leeward/pelican beach. Do not miss Chalk astound, the most gorgeous turquoise you'll ever lay eyes on.

I would keep conch farm for future trip. Day excursions take you out to the reef to snorkel. You can also do the latest rage, paddle surf. Parasail, banana boat, kayak and hobie cat.

Spa treatment at Regent Palms.

What happens in Provo is the beach hypnotizes you and you end up doing nothing at all!
