We are trying to decide which hotel is the nicest for our honeymoon in Grenada. Decided on Grenada b/c it seems like a beautiful, lush island with great beaches and things to do. But we can't decide which hotel - La Source, Spice Island or ? Any suggestions welcome. We are having a hard time figuring out the quality of the hotels on this island, and have read differing opinions on message boards.
Thanks!

Have you considred the Calabash? I haven't stayed there but there seem to be generally good comments posted on the board. I haven't been to Grenada yet but in planning my April trip (staying at Secret Harbor). I did a fair amount of research and found the reviews of La Source discouraging. In addition to searching this board, I found it helpful to do a general internet search on yahoo by typing in the names of the different resorts- you will come up with a variety of other comments/reviews.
We just returned from a week on Grenada and loved it. We stayed on Grand Anse Beach at the Coyaba and it was very nice. We looked at The Grand, which has beautiful grounds and pools, and Spice Island which looked nice but extremely high-priced; it is all-inclusive and we like to dine around, but it depends on what you want. Write directly to me if you want more specifics.
In the 2/15/01 American Airlines magazine was a little write up on a new small resort on Grenada--Luluna Resort. The web site is under construction but it is www.laluna.com. Briefly, there are 16 cottages that have verandas and either some or all have dip pools. Rates start at $430 in high season. It sounded worth looking into to me.
