Best Carribean Island for a honeymoon (fairly cheap)

We've looked into bahamas, turks and caicos. Anyone have any good suggestions to go for a honeymoon fairly cheap? We'd love to spend about $3500-$4000 total. Flight, all inclusive, etc. Thanks

We just came back from the St. Franics Resort in the Bahamas. It's perfect if you want a secluded, relaxing honeymoon. It would not be for you if you like crowds or exciting nightlife.

We spent 6 nights there and including airfare from the DC area and most of our meals, it was around $3000-3500.

Check out trip advisor reviews of it as well, the folks there describe the experince accurately.

Does all inclusive mean food and drinks also or just for air and hotel?

If it means food and drinks also you will not find what you are looking for in Bahamas or T & C with that budget. Look at Mexico, Jamaica or the Dominican Republic.

Agreeing with KVR. Negril Jamaica or somewhere along the Mayan Riviera Mexico will get you more for an All-Inclusive than the other islands you mentioned.

We've been to several AI's in Mexico and other Caribbean destinations. We just returned from the Jewel Dunn's River resort in Ocho Rios, Jamaica last week and loved it. We did 5 nights for $2,350 with air, but the first week of December is considered low season, which is why we go somewhere during that time every year.

Additionally, look at the Couples resorts in Jamaica and the Iberostars and Secrects resorts in Jamaica and the Riviera Maya area of Mexico. We also loved the Royal Playa del Carmen in Mexico.

I think one of the least expensive beach desintations is Cozumel,MX. We spent our honeymoon there 11 years ago for almost next to nothing. We have returned 3 times since then. It's one of our favorites.
