We are planning a summer cruise and I would like to get some idea on which port will be the best option for us.
Lots of lines are going to King's Wharf? Any thoughts?
Another goes to St. Georges for a day and then Hamilton. Any thoughts?
I saw another that mentioned Dockyard but I think that may be King's Wharf(?)
We will be visiting the beaches primarily and browsing in shops for a few things. We will not be looking for restaurants except for beverages and snacks.
Thanks for the information.
Best arrival port

Dockyard = King's Wharf. This is where the majority of the watersports/tour activity is based. The brand new cruise terminal is there, and the shopping and browsing availability is more than what you'll find in St George's. There's also a fast ferry service directly to Hamilton, plus buses that leave Dockyard straight for the gorgeous South Shore beaches.
The Holland America Veendam (that is scheduled to do the St/ George's/Hamilton stops) tenders in St George's because it is too big to fit through the rocks to the pier in that town. That means two things: you are subject to the schedule of the ferry that shuttles you back and forth to shore, and if the seas are AT ALL rough, the Veendam frequently diverts directly to Hamilton for the entire trip. St George's is a World Heritage town and wonderful for exploring, but it's location at the far east end of the island does mean added travel time to the bigger beaches.
@txgirlinbda Thanks for the great info. It will help a great deal in making the decision.
No worries- there are several other great threads here about day-trip itineraries for cruise passengers arriving in Bermuda, esp. detailed transport to beaches info. Have a great time, and have a rum Swizzle for me!
