Hello Folks! Mr. STW and I took a rather last minute end-of-August trip to Bermuda, our fourth trip to the lovely island. I promised to share some *Tidbits* from our trip...here goes...
How We Got There:
JFK (1:45 pm) to BDA (5:00 pm - Bermuda is an hour ahead of NY). Quick and easy flight to paradise!
This year JetBlue started flying to Bermuda -- Yippie! We love JetBlue for its legroom. Only pain in the neck is the new terminal they are building at JFK -- we parked at Terminal 4 ($35/day and have your EZ Pass ready for a quick escape out of the parking lot) and took the AirTram to Terminal 6 (International). Since we were running late to the airport, this did cause some anxiety. There is no online checkin available for this flight to Bermuda.

Whoops, posted too soon!

We did wait a bit until it was filled before heading out -- no worries. Our taxi ride TO the airport was a little over $27 (w/o tip), so it was fair.
As we headed through customs, the agent reminded my DH that I would be celebrating my birthday in Bermuda. Not to worry, I wouldn't let him forget.
Getting a Taxi on a Monday at 5pm:
We arrived in Bermuda on time and were greated with sunny skies, heat and the famous Bermuda humidity -- just love it!
Be prepared for a long wait on a Monday at rush hour! We started to queue up for a taxi but were told it would be at least a 40 minute wait. We were quickly solicited to take one of those hotel-type vans for $13/person. We were told we would be the first stop, lol, so was everyone else told the same thing.
YIPPPPEEEE, STW's trip report is here!!! Loving it, STW.
