Bermuda in February or March

Hello,

Planning a trip with 2 kids (5 years and 1 1/2 years old) to Bermuda. We have never been but heard and seen good things. We are from Southern California. Has anyone been and give you can give me some suggestions as to where we should fly out of? NY, Boston, Florida, etc.? Planning to go in either Feb or March, since my kids are not in school yet, I figured take advantage and go during off-peak season. Also, let me know the weather around that time, and things to do. Thanks so much!

Geographically, Bermuda is off the coast of South Carolina and that means it's pretty far north and will be rather cool (not swimming weather) in February or March think average daytime highs in the mid-to low 60's F. You can research general weather statistics for Bermuda or just about any other location here: www.weatherbase.com .

Getting there from any of the east coast International Gateway airports is fairly easy with lots of non-stop options. FYI - it's about a 2 1/4 flight from Boston and NYC area airports, 2 1/2 hours from MIA and about 3 hours from Atlanta.

As far as things to do, at that time of year there's golf, visiting historic sights, exploring the caves and walking along the beaches. AGAIN IT IS NOT SWIMMING WEATHER.

Thank you for your response. That's true...will be cold so won't be worth the time, especially when we're mainly there for the beaches and swimming.

For warmer temperatures in February/March choose one of the Caribbean islands that are south of Puerto Rico- USVI's, BVI's, Anguilla, St. Martin, St. Bart's, St. Kitts, Nevis, Grenada, Grand Cayman, St. Lucia, Antigua, St. Vincent, any of the Grenadines, the ABC islands to name a few.

<mainly there for the beaches and swimming>

Then you need to pick an island further south. Or go to coastal Mexico, it's lovely weather that time of year there.
