We will be cruising to Bermuda Sept 25.
Wanted to know how easily accessible the buses are. I heard this was a cheaper way to travel around island. Day pass? hours? we would like to horseback. The royal carribean cruise line does not offer this item. we heard of spiceland horseback. has anyone tried them? has anyone visited the crystal caves. are these places nearby the king's wharf dockyard, where we will port. thanks for all help.

Call Spicelands Riding Stables before you go and book an appointment. Ask if they will pick you up at the dock. I have used them several times (for friends who want to ride) and they have picked up at the hotel. They do several rides a day, the most popular being the sunrise ride through the Horseshoe Bay region and into the surf. Lovely.
The crystal caves are nice, but if you have a beautiful day get outside and enjoy it at the public beaches. The bus system is excellent and very accessible.
Bermuda is only about 20 miles long and a mile wide, so nowhere is all that far from anywhere else. Have a wonderful time.Bermuda is another world.
Enjoy your stay in Bermuda. Easy access to the ferry/bus system from the Dockyard. The 3-day pass is worth it. A one-way ticket on the ferry from the Dockyard to Hamilton is $4.00 and a quick 20 minute boat ride. You can also take a bus from there and see the Island that way.
Crystal Caves are spectacular if you have never visited that type of attraction before. Beware, lots of steps to climb!
If you want something hokey, do the Don't Stop the Carnival - meal, drinks and entertainment included. A fun night - nothing special but good value for your money in Bermuda.
If you do go to the Crystal Caves, the Swizzle Inn is a must!
