We are travelling to Beaches 1/24 for 7 nights with our three children; 13, 10 & 5. We have been to two other Beaches / Sandals properties and have had good and bad experiences. Sandals Royal Caribbean was NOT as advertised - the property was very run down. Beaches Royal Plantation was beautiful, great rooms, clean, etc. I guess what we are wondering is where may Beaches T & C rate compared to the two others? There have been mixed reviews, and after reading mixed reviews we went to The Sandals resort which was a mistake. Royal Plantation had much better reviews and we would return in a heartbeat. If anyone has been to Beaches T & C recently, and has perhaps been to either of the other properties, your feedback would be appreciated. We are going with an open mind, but with the expense involved and mixed reviews we have done some second guessing. Thanks!

Hi Nepathan,
It might be a little late to second guess at this time if you are going this Jan.
I have only stayed at a Sandals ( Halcyon in St.Lucia_) it of course was a complete disappointment for the price we paid, and for what we are accustom to in the price range we paid in the $700 a night for two. Didn't come close, so we left.
As for what I have heard about Royal Plantation, it doesn't fit the Beaches, Sandals catagory either. This is why they did try to change the name from Beaches Royal Carribean to Royal Caribbean by it self. Unfortunately, the reviews recently, from long time lovers of this resort are not coming back so good anymore??? check out tropictravelonline.com
The is a good place for you to get answers to your question. This people love the Sandals/Beaches resorts. After two years of following the reveiws, I still can't figure why they go there other then, old time friends and memories.
All said and done, I do believe that if you just consider that you are going with your children. I think that kids are great forgivers of QUALITY. They and you will probably have a great time and the expencince/price with be long forgot!!!
Do consider Beaches, in line with the Sandals resorts and not Royal Plantation that was suppose to be in a leage of it's own.
Hello sailor,
Thanks for the reply. We'll make the best of it and go in with an open mind. We are hoping that it may not be at capacity so we won't have to fight for chairs and have long waits for food. It will certainly be better than than staying home with temps in the single digits!
