Beach with shells in Nassau?

We are leaving for Nassau Beach Hotel , Bahamas
on May 2. We have been Nassau before and loved it but I couldn't find a beach that had any worthwhile shells for collecting. Does anyone know where I can go there for that? Also any comments on Nassau Beach Hotel?

Never found great shells in the Bahamas. Best was off the cays of Abaco Island diving from a boat charter (with local knowledgable captain). There we found conch, starfish, sanddollars, and some nice regular shells. Best shelling we have ever had was off the coast of Florida, on Sanibel and Captiva Islands. Just wade out and there they are. Worth a trip someday if you love shells. Don't know much about that hotel. I think it may be near downtown. If it is it is away from Cable beach and it is a beach that is crowded with locals and not very scenic. You may want to arrange transportation. Enjoy your trip.
