Bay Garden Beach Resort or Windjammer Landing ? ? ?
My DH and I are looking into St Lucia for our next Caribbean Vacation. It will be our first trip to St. Lucia. Due to work schedules we're looking into the October/November time frame. We have an opportunity for a Timeshare at either Bay Garden Beach Resort or Windjammer Landing Villa Beach Resort. I'm looking for opinions on either of these resorts. On our island vacations we like to spend about 1/2 the time on the beach and explore the island, take boat trips, snorkel and or shop during the rest of the time.
If we stay in this general area, do we need a car?
Thanks for your help!

I'd be happy to answer any questions you have about our resort and I can personally attend to your reservation if you decide to stay with us! You can do quite a bit of exploration without a car but we have a car rental desk on site if you decide to rent one for a day or two.

These are two totally different types of resorts. If you are looking for a little more relaxation away from kids and screaming babies I would recommend Bay Gardens Beach. If you are traveling with your family then Windjammer Landing would be best.
With Bay Gardens, the rooms are right there on the beach on the other hand at Windjammer the villas are on the hillside over looking the beach/bay with great views. P.s shuttles are available to take you to and from your villas.
If you are at Bay Gardens, a rent a car isn't really necessary because you will be right in the heart of Rodney Bay and most excursions and tours provide their own pick ups. At Windjammer you are about 10 - 15 minutes away from Rodney Bay, don't really need a rent a car either but will need to pay for a taxi. Taxis cost between 15 & 20 US dollars one way.
These guys have been known to be very helpful www.ekarib.com and can give you some great info on taxis / transfers/ tours/ car rentals and dinning places in the area.
Hope this helps, check them out.
