Barbados Which Beach

Which beach is better at Barbados? The south or west. We prefer calm water and nice beaches. We like to snorkel. Thanks

The west but I have not found snorkeling (or scuba for that matter) to be that good in Barbados.

Calmest water is on the west coast north of Bridgetown. Snorkeling is not known to be spectacular, but decent in places. Folkestone marine preserve, just north of the center of Holetown has a nice underwater park.

All the beaches on the west are perfect but don't count out Pebbles or Brownes - very popular. Carlisle Bay is especially good for diving if you're interested.

best

crane Bay is very dramatic, and the resort there is beautiful.

My favorite beach, the one of postcards, but doesn't have facilities

Bottom Bay, gorgeous!

We have stayed in the West and South. The West is calm, gorgeous turquoise water, the South is waves and not so blue. Given the choice, I'd choose the West every time.

There is a wide variety of resorts that have 2 or 3 in their program to visit. Such as:

And then there are the really posh resorts if it's in the budget.

The snorkeling is just OK, not great, but it was fun chasing the turtles.
