Barbados Tamarind vs. Almond Beach

I'm traveling with my husband and 11 yr old daughter. I'm debating between these two hotels. At Tamarind, breakfast is included but are there restaurants/grocery stores close by to walk to for dinner, snacks, etc? Almond Beach is all-inclusive. Are there stores/restaurants close by to walk to? Both appear to have a good kids club for my daughter. Any thoughts on deciding between the 2? Thanks.
