Back from Turks, last night!

Thought I would give my review while still fresh on my mind.

Stayed at West Bay Club! Awesome. Ocean front room right above the the walkway to the ocean perfect view. We were on the 4th floor so no obstruction in the view.

My only complaint on the hotel was that we took a 5AM flight from Dallas to arrive by 12pm. Check in was in was supposed to be 11:00. We arrived at 12:30 after no sleep, because we had to leave for the airport at 2:30. Our room was not ready. They said the room would be ready around 3:00. That was not a good way to start a vacation. They told us to use the bathroom around the corner to change into our swimsuits and go down to the beach. No, I am not leaving all of my belongings, cash and jewelry just sitting in the open air lobby. We didn't want to get angry, so politely told them no that is not going to work. We went and had lunch, came back, still no room ready. After a serious discussion, they let us put our stuff in a large suite, change our clothes and we had a key and safe to lock up our stuff.
SUGGESTION: Before you arrive, let your hotel know what time you will arrive! Explain your expectations of check in and time.

All things were great, water, weather our hotel and dining.

My favorite things:
- Dining at Infinity on our Anniversary.
- We brought blow up rafts from home (great idea) floating on the ocean. All day, every day. I tan easy. I needed SPF 50 the entire time not to burn. Yes, I still got very, very, tan.
- Talking to all the other visitors.
- Bugaloos !!!
- Driving around the island to different resorts to check it out and take pics. Definitely rent a car. We drove at night ONCE. Our headlights on our car didn't work well, scared the poop out of us, so we only did that once.

Notes: Meals are expensive! Get over it and have fun. Don't get to caught up on the pricing or you won't have fun. If you are on a very tight budget maybe go to a different island. We had a great time and didn't go crazy with money but spent about $900 on food and gas for 6 days. (no alcohol included in this price) We had free breakfast everyday at the hotel, that was great. Oh, ice tea is not free refills, each tea was $3.00 or 3.50 per tea.

I would be happy to answer any questions. I don't want to write a novel.
would I go again. Definitely! Would I stay at the same place, yes! Are there other resorts that I would recommend, yes! Depending what you want in atmosphere, budget, beach and budget.

Hate that it is over! But great memories made!!!

Glad you had fun, a novel would be fine!

All resorts on island have a check OUT of 11, check in at 3. If they have a room for you (in the category you booked, not an upgrade room) then they'll let you check in. I assume they didn't have a room available?

Personally, I have left my luggage at the front desk, all resorts have a closed office behind it.

When tired, I get it, turns to a big thing, but glad you had fun after that! Gorgeous resort, and depending who you get your car from, if headlights don't work they should have changed it immediately! (I know Avis and Grace Bay Car Rentals whould have no matter when you called them)

Bugaloo's is great!

Next time also try Da Conch Shack

On the check in time, I was going by the confirmation that was sent to me via email. I had it printed out and showed it to them when I arrived.

My only issue was I would not have taken that flight to arrive at that time, if I knew that I couldn't check in until 3:00pm. There were other flights available.

I had a great time at a great hotel and I don't want ruin my review with this one pain point. Just thought I would mention it to others who may have my same expectations.

Hi
I will be staying at West Bay Club in December. Can you walk to any restaurants? Also, can you walk to the Thursday fish fry event? I'm concerned about walking back in the dark. Thanks, this is my first time it T&C, hope I like it as much as you.

You can walk to Fish Fry, you really need a car for everything else
