Atlantis Beach Tower vs. Comfort Suites

We will be going to Atlantis at the end of September and am trying to decide between staying at the Beach Tower or CS. Because of a group rate, the price difference between the two is negligble. My gut feeling says go with the CS. What are your thoughts when comparing the two? Thanks!

Beach tower is comparable to at Motel 6. CS provides a continental Breakfast and a quite place to relax away from the frenzy.

I've wondered the same thing MPT. But with the Beach Towers, wouldn't you have the view of the ocean and be at the beach?

The lower priced rooms at the BT overlook the tar roof or the Convention Center.. not the beach.
And the Beach tower is a hike to the Aquapark, casino and most of the property other than the easternmost beach.

My brother stayed at the beach towers and said the same, like a motel 6. He overlooked the parking lot. He had three kids and lasted two nights. He went to the front desk and threw the credit card down and moved to the Royal towers! I don't have any personal experiences with comfort suites, but most don't complain about it here.

I would say go with CS. I've heard nothing but negative about beach tower and it is a hike anyway, so what's the big deal if you need to walk a little further? I've heard nothing negative about CS. The breakfast will save you a mint as food is very expensive around the Atlantis. You will easily save $50 a day just for coffee and pastries for a family of 4.
