Aruba in June?
We're still trying to narrow down a Caribbean island to stay at in June. I've seen online that the tradewinds might be really strong at that time. We love hanging out at the beach and really don't want to be sprayed hard with sand constantly. The annoyance factor just wouldn't be worth it. Anyone go down in June? What has your experience been? Thanks so much.

We went in June last year. It was hot, and it was windy. In our case, we were glad it was windy because the heat might have been too much otherwise.
I think it really depends on which beach you stay. We were at the Westin, which is said to have one of the windier beaches. I have heard the Radisson's beach is set farther back and is less windy.

Aruba is always windy. I'm not sure it varies that much by month. The Westin has a rep for having one of the windiest beaches on the island. We always stay at The Radisson, which I do think is a bit less windy than The Westin.

We've been there twice in June,
We stayed at Bucti Beach and didn't find the wind a problem at all - and trust me, I'd be the first to gripe and groan if the sand was covering my sunscreen or making my book flap around
The water is warm enough bathe in and to wash off any sand though.

I have been in June December, January May and February. I do not recall it being more windy in June then other months. If wind is a huge factor for you then Aruba is not the island to visit. The wind keeps the bugs at bay, and you will rarely feel hot. It is really a blessing in disguise. Of course no one wants to be sand blasted on the beach but I rarely have found that to happen although I cannot say it has never happened either. We stay at Divi resorts and we find the beach fine there, with little to no problems. It seems it would depend on where you stay. Avoid the Westin so it would seem as it appears to be more windy there.
