Aruba has a constant temperature of 82- 88 degrees year round with the trade winds cooling everything off. If you are going at the end of June or July, you will be out of the hurricane belt & the people of Aruba are the best in the Caribbean. Hardly any crime at all & has everything you want to do plus great dinning. I suggest the Radisson or the Hyatt for lodging.
Tracey,

I am a teacher too on lunch break )and am also restricted to June and July. We went to Aruba last July and stayed at the Hyatt. It was incredible! The grounds and pool are just beautiful. The wind during this time of the year is not as strong as some reports I have read when people travel in the Spring. It is enough that you will want to wear a pony tail but it keeps you cool while you are under a very strong sun. A couple of 5 minute sprinkles during the day. We loved it and cannot wait to go back and stay at the Hyatt

If you have any other questions just ask

Julie

Tracey,
I have been in Aruba twice in Sonesta and Radisson. You can stay in Hyatt, Marriott or Radisson , Sonesta is far so I prefer Hyatt, the beach is great you will enjoy, is Palm Beach.
Great Casinos too.
Hope I help you.
Claudia

Question for Julie, my family loves the beach and we have always taken our summer vacation somewhere on the east coast (e.g. cape cod, jersey shore, outer banks north carolina, etc.). However, we are kind of bored with that scene and were thinking about the caribbean (Aruba in particular). How hot does it get there during late July/early Aug? exactly how bad is the wind as i hear such different stories? is the water warm? is your first choice the hyatt, as i have heard good things about the marriot and the radisson? any feedback would help...thanks

Tom - We are planning our 4th trip at the end of May. Have been twice in June and once in August. It was around 88 in August - but the tradewinds really do keep it bearable. And don't confuse the tradewinds with the wind you get on Cape Cod - where the wind blows sand against you and it hurts!! Our last visit on the cape cost $1500 to rent a cottage and it rained every day -- Not in Aruba! You will have 7 straight sun-shiny days. The water is very warm. I can't wait to go back! Try the Wyndham - it's beautiful.

Tom,

The weather in July was great. The sun was very strong, but the winds kept you cool. At this time of teh year the winds are NOT stinging, just enough to keep you cool. I think it rained two times for a brief 5 minutes...with the sun still shining... The Hyatt was amazing, We will definalty return there, and the Radisson looked very nice too... I would keep at at these two hotels with the Marriott def. coming in 3rd place... Have a great time! Feel free to email me!
