well IMO you are choosing between the 2 best resorts in Aruba, However I would choose the Hyatt, we have stayed there 3 times and it is our favorite resort in Aruba, for my taste it has the most upscale feel, nicest grounds, best pool w/ swim up bar and water slide, best service & best location on Palm beach, plus it has a more romantic feel to it at night.
Radisson is also very nice and also an upscale resort with beautiful grounds, very nice pool and romantic feel.
Hyatt has a more impressive exterior, more intimate feel while Radisson has nicer rooms and bigger balconies.
my fussy kids like Hyatt much more than the radisson but I think the resorts are both equally nice, it's personal preference.

pretty equal beach, maybe 50-75 yards apart Hyatt has more open beach space due to the Rad's palapas & chairs all congested together. Hyatt has a more romantic outdoor bar as well. you can use the amenities at both resorts

I would recommend the Hyatt over the Radisson. There are plenty of places to eat close by and the prices are not too bad. The Hyatt is very elegant and offers warm hospitality, something we found lacking at the Radisson. They are situated right on the beachfront and they do a much better job of grounds maintenance and landscaping. The facility is simply a cut way above everything the Radisson. Go to their website, browse around, and I think you will find it a nice place to be.

Recently back from Aruba. Stayed at the Radisson, which has the wider beach. However, the rooms at the Hyatt are beautiful--just request a renovated room! Hyatt is definitely more upscale, although the Radisson is more comfortable. Another Radisson drawback is they won't guarantee a room in the main bldg., which is preferable.

If you are going without your kids you might like to try Eagle beach instead - a much wider and much quieter beach
I'd suggest Bucuti Beach www.bucuti.com try the Tara Suites - no kids! If you look around on this website you will find quite a few recommendations - especially from honeymoon couples - I have trip reported this resort twice.
Also research TripAdvisor.com

Best pool - if you want the best pool then you really should stay in the high rise area (Palm beach) and share it with children - especially the really small ones
Walk up bar? at Bucuti you lift your flag and plant it in the sand and they come to you.
Water slide - Me???? I don't think so.
However you do need to be aware that Eagle beach has no objection to topless bathing by women (or men
)
Most people don't though, so this is just a tiny warning.

Actually the best location on Palm Beach was the old Aruba Grand Resort. It was the first hotel on Palm Beach and therefore grabbed the choicest location, with the broadest stretch of beach. Unfortunately it closed last year and is becoming a Riu Palace, which from the pictures I've seen looks like a monstrosity. I agree with patsfan1 that the Hyatt and the Radisson are both lovely resorts, but their beaches are no comparison to the one at Bucuti. However, if you want Palm Beach, you could check out the Riu (scheduled to open this summer). When it was the Grand, the beach was always a LOT less crowded than the ones at Hyatt or Radisson.

I just got back from Aruba and stayed at both these hotels during my stay. The rooms at the Radisson were much nicer. We had a Plaza room on the 8th floor and the view was amazing. There is more beach and pool space at the Radisson and I highly recommend the Spa. What I liked about the Hyatt was the service, location (close to many restaurants) and the lobby bar. Lots of families at both places.
