Aruba - Radisson or Barbados - Coral Sands Beach Resort?
Hi, we are in the middle of planning a trip for March 2005. We have narrowed it down to either the Radisson Resort in Aruba or Coral Sands Beach Resort in Barbados but can't decide!
We are in our late 20's, want a great beach, great food, good resort and definitely nightlife.
Please give us your opinions. Thanks

It depends on what your looking for. I can't comment on the hotels, but have been to both islands. If you're looking for a more caribbean feel, choose barbados. Aruba is more south american in feeling. Both are great. Good restaurants, beaches, safe, great people. That's the biggest difference I saw. No caribbean food in Aruba...but great steaks, beef, fish, etc. Barbados is very caribbean...laid back.
Peace, Greenie

Greenie....how did I miss that "South American" feeling in Aruba???? I love Aruba for the beach but it is very "American"....When you walk along Palm Beach in Aruba it's a slice of Florida from the Marriott to The Hyatt to The Radisson.
Petula: Aruba has all that you are looking for: great beach (Palm Beach), great food (do a search here), good resort (Radisson). Can't comment on the "nightlife".

Know nothing about Aruba, but for nightlife in Barbados, Ship Inn is a must on Thurs., as for the other good clubs, ClubXtreme is suppose to be awsome, same with The boatyard, and Harbour Lights was a lot of fun (from what I remember, with the open bar, things got a lil crazy)

We have vacationed in Aruba many times and love it but it does not have that Caribbean feel if that is important to you. We have also traveled to seven other islands and all of them had more of the atmosphere. We stayed in Tortola last year and the Britiah Virgin Islands were beautiful.
Eagle Beach in the low rise section of Aruba is quieter. We loved the grounds and pools at the Radisson which is on Palm Beach but the beach was su busy including some cruise ship passengers.
I wonder what the age group would be for Coral Sands--you might find an older crowd there. Just a thought.
Why we like Aruba--friendly people, beautiful beaches, variety and quality of restaurants, casinos, and feel relaxed, no safety issues.
