I will be traviling to Puerto Rico in less than two weeks. My girlfriend is used to wearing thong bikinis i dont know the rules and regulations in puerto rico and have found no help so far. I was wondering if it is ok for her to wear her thong bikinis on the beach. We will be staying near old san juan.

i would go buy your gf a new bikini - one with a little behind to it. i don't know that it's illegal but it would be frowned upon.

I wouldn't wear that at all,especially with families/children around. Unless it's a private beach tell your gf not to wear something so open!
By now you should have gone to the beach and returned, so tell us what you did. It really depends on the beach you are going, it is not unusual to have women in thongs, but don't get mad if the guys stare at your gf's bottom. Thongs are not illegal and if you or she does not mind the stares, go for it.
Well we have been back from puerto rico for some months now. Our trip was not really like anyone explaned. We stayed near the airport in san juan, and there were not many women in thongs i only counted two. We then traveled to the ocean park area, there were not only thongs but women topless, so my girlfriend did wear the thongs and there was not many guys staring. it was nice also at our hotel buy the pool there were several people wearing thongs, finally we went to cabo roho. Once again i saw a hand full of thongs and even topless there. So i guess you need to experince this for yourself.
