Arawak?
Please advise on the Arawak and your experience with the hotel. I have read mixed reviews. Is the location too out-of-the way? I plan to rent a car and not spend too much time at the hotel. Is it a hassle to drive back there from restaurants at night? Thanks.

It's in Island Harbour which is on the east end of a fairly small island -- there are restaurans there (Hibernia, Cote Mer, Smitty's, Koko's, Arawak itself) and many restaurants in Shoal Bay East which is a 5 minute drive (Gwens, Elodias, Ku, Tropical Sunset, Mandeariman, Zaras, Uncle Ernies). About 15 minutes away is the port, Sandy Ground, which has Roys, Barrel Stay, Pumphouse, Ripples, Johnnos & Elvis -- also live music at some of the places. You are about a 25 minute drive to the west end where there are lots of restaurants, many upscale (Trattoria, Picante, Caprice, Blanchards, Bananas, Lucys, Pimms, Mangos).
There's essentially one long road with smaller roads peeling off -- easy driving (on the left, though) -- we run back & forth all the itme and we stay on both the west & east ends.
