Aqua Bay Condos

In February we are going to the Cayman Islands and staying at the Aqua Bay Condos. Can anyone give me some feedback. Also, if you did stay there, did you stay on 1st floor the other floors with balcony instead of patio.

Hello, we stayed at Aqua Bay this past August and were quite pleased. I did alot of research on accommodations since this was our first trip to GC and we would certainly stay there again! We stayed in a top floor unit. It was nicely decorated and most important, clean. I'd recommend staying on the top floor if you enjoy ocean views. Otherwise, your view would still be nice, you'd just be looking at more of the pool area with the water in the background. The location of the condos were good too, far enough removed from the commercial and hotel area yet close enough to drive to dining/shopping when we wanted that. If you are into snorkeling walk 5 mins down to Cemetery Reef and swim out about 100 yards. Hope this was helpful. Feel free to email [email protected] if you have more specific questions.

Aha, thanks for the response. I, also, did a lot of research and spent much time on the computer checking out different condos.

I will definitely request a top floor room.

We actually stayed on the ground floor and requested it! We've stayed at Aqua Bay twice - great condos. I like the screened porch that walks out to the pool and reading cabanas. If you stay on the higher floors, you can't just walk out your porch and into the pool/hot tub. Boy, I wish I were there now!

We have been going to Cayman many years and have stayed at several condos. Aqua Bay is our favorite. Wonderful beach, so close to cemetery reef, nicely decorated units, beachside pool, quiet.
The managers are also very helpful. We're going back in May and staying there. The last time we had a 2nd level condo but requested ground level this time. We wanted to walk right out to the beach. I think you'll truly enjoy it.

Property looks nice but be aware that the beach (as of Dec when I was there) has had a lot of erosion problems. It is not a sandy, level beach but more rocky and jagged due to the waves cutting into the beach. The beach is now separated into a small portion at the water's edge and then you have to steup up at least 2 feet to get to the upper beach. It may have improved since my visit though. Just be prepared

Upside is you are close to cemetery Reef which had great snorkleing.

Kristen, part of the reason I switched is because of people like you that gave me such great feedback. I'm really starting to get so excited about our trip, especially since we had a pipe freeze and burst due to the extreme cold here in NY.

I'm so jealous! It's been frigid in MD too. I know you'll have a great time. It will be very hard to leave though Be sure to let us know how your trip was when you return!

AB was also a very small property. You will have much more room to spread out at VOG.

Too funny! My parents have a townhouse there on the bay where they keep their boat...28th Street. So we are in OC a lot. You'll have to let me know when you go down...
