Anyone going to St. Martin in September?
Just looking for some reassurance that we won't be the only ones on the island. We've never been, and are going for our honeymoon. If we had known that September was such a down month we might have scheduled our wedding differently, but alas. Anyway, surely there must be others going too.
Thanks,
Ben

September is a very quiet month here but that just means less traffic and more space on the beaches for yourselves..
sounds perfect for a honeymoon to me!
as statia says, there are always tourists on st. maarten
if you are interested in hooking up with others who are here at the same time, go to
http://www.traveltalkonline.com
go to the st maarten forum and post. it is a very active forum with many regular visitors to st maarten....lots of info there about places to go while on the island.
enjoy!

Hi there !
You won't be the only ones on the island cuz we're going too!
However someone at work mentioned in passing that September is the middle of the hurricaine season !!!
So can anyone allay/confirm my fears about having my wig blown off not only by the low flying aircraft (can't wait for that)but also by enormous flatulence with an odd name?

fuzzybo, yes, September is the peak month of hurricane season. However, the odds that we will have one at the exact same time that you are here aren't all that high. No one can even speculate if we will have one in this area at all this year (crossing fingers emoticon). Just be sure to stay current with the weather forecast before and during your trip.
