Anyone Been to Hedonism II?

I'm considering planning a trip to the Hedonism II resort in Jamaica, and I was wondering if anyone could volunteer any relevant information.
Prices? Quality? Is it an enjoyable vacation?
Anything I should know?

Thanks for your response.

I've only been there 5 or 6 times, so I'm a modest expert I think Hedonism is a great vacation as long as you are reasonably open-minded. Hedonism is for adults only, singles and couples. A LOT of singles go, so you should meet a lot of neat people. There is a NUDE beach and hot-tub area, but you do not have to go over there if you are uncomfortable with that. The atmosphere is real casual, you don't need anything for clothes but swimsuits, t-shirts, shorts, and sandals. Don't waste packing space on dress clothes, etc. Everything is truly included (meals, drinks, lodging, watersports, etc). They have a wild disco open every night from 11 PM to 5 AM, and a piano bar open from 10 PM to 2-3 AM. The food is great and there is entertainment everynight after dinner. There is a toga party one night and a fairly risque pajama party one night. There is a lot of nudity and sexual innuendo in the atmosphere, but you do NOT have to participate in anything you are uncomfortable with. The rooms are plain, but serviceable, and all have in-room safes for your valuables. You wear your room key on a rope around your neck and everybody's happy. Cost is probably $1500-1700 per person for a week but this should include airfare, and airport transportation (the bus ride is 1 1/2 - 2 hours from Montego Bay). Feel free to email me for more specifics, but I would highly recommend this resort.

For the cost of one week at Hedonism II, you can easily spend two weeks at Point Village (right next door). Same scenery, great food, wonderful people...

Okay, since two posts have been for Point Village and against Hedonism, I want to put in our 2 cents. We are heading to Hedonism II in 26 days for our fourth trip. On our 3rd trip, due to an overbooking problem at Hedonism, we were sent to Point Village. We took our stuff there, and immediately walked to the Hedonism front desk and demanded to be placed somewhere else. There were children (we went for an adult vacation -- no kids). One of our group had a room door that did not lock. None of the rooms had a safe to store valuables without paying a $3 per day deposit at the front desk. The rooms were so dirty we were afraid to leave our stuff on the furniture. On top of that, the toilet in our room didn't flush. We referred to it the rest of our trip as the 'Ghetto of Negril'. It is cheaper and you can see why. Hedonism is not for everyone, but we are of the opinion that Point Village is for NO ONE.

My wife and I love Hedo!!!

I was just cleaning up my Web site and I ran across an article that I posted a while back. It's from "Front" a British magazine. It's about Hedo (including pics) and it's a pretty interesting read if you're interested. It's http://www.betyourboots.com/hedo.html

We stayed at Sandals Negril which butts up against Hedo. If one is so inclined you can walk down the beach and right into the Hedo property (the beach is public and open to all in Negril). We did walk there one day out of curiousity and found that yes indeed you will like Hedo if you like fat naked people that have lots of tattoos all over their bodies. My guess would be that 99.8 percent of the naked Hedo guests would look 100 percent better with clothes on! It was somewhat disgusting and by no means sexy!

Curt, You are amazingly rude, thoughtless, and mean-spirited.

Who CARES what the guests at any particular resort look like? I suppose you and your wife look like supermodels on holiday?

(And you are a little pervert for going onto a property where you were not a guest just to gawk at nekkid people...)

Ha ha Curt. I felt so bad after I posted that to you yesterday. I was hoping you wouldn't see it. (I had a bad day - new puppy and sleep deprivation and cold weather conspired to make me a crabby #$@%&!)

I was so happy to see the thread disappearing.

To be honest, Hedo sounds so awful that if I were at a nearby resort, I might not be able to resist taking a peek either. quot;>

Thanks for having a good sense of humor.

Yes,we too have been to Negril and visited Hedo II.We found it to be not our cup of tea....But to each his own! I have to say it takes guts to go without clothes, buy the way some of those people looked. I dont think I could do it, but hubbie could without a thought!

I think I'd be afraid to be laughed at by some of the ladies if I ever went to Hedonism II.

Oh, now George W...don't fret ! If you were recognized, people might have other things to speak about.

And if all else fails, ask Laura to defend you.

Apologies to all...but if you dredge up a thread from 1997, seems like fair game to me ;-) !

The Hedo chain is probably the tackiest
holiday you could choose anywhere, outside of Vegas. If you seek quality,
go elsewhere. Curt's comments are spot-on, and if anything, subtle.

But Marion, my wife's name is Martha. You have the wrong George W in mind. I'm the one with the wooden teeth and a pretty house on the SOUTH side of the Potomac.
