My husband and I are planning to go o St. Bath's the second week in May. This will be our first trip to the island and any suggestions regarding resturants, beaches, bars, etc. would be greatly appreciated. We are staying at the Francois Plantation and will have a car. Thanks!
Any recent trips to St. Barths ?

Hi,
I have actually not been to st. barths since I was little, but I remember it being so beautiful. I think that is where my favorite beach is, called Meghan's Bay, but it might be in St. John. Look for it if you can. Have Fun!!!
Was in St. Barth's last June. St. Jean is the most active beach; Saline and Columbier are the nicest but with no facilities of any kind (probably why they are the nicest). Both unofficially clothes optional. Easy to visit all the beaches except Gouverneur if you rent a car.
There are a lot of high priced reataurants but also some that I consider moderate that are worth trying - Eddie's, Chez Domi and Paradisio, all in Gustavia, were good. Le Patio at Village St. Jean is very good. Try lunch at La Creperie in Gustavia for some interesting crepes.
Le Select is the bar that gets all of the attention. I think Bar d'Oulie across the street is nicer.
The museum across the harbor in Gustavia is interesting, and the InterIslands museum in Corrosol is worth a visit if you want to see a fantastic sea shell collection.
