Another ? for Frequent Turks Travelers...
I have read about long lines for departure at the airport in Turks & Caicos. One member of our party departs on a Tues. afternoon at 3:30. The rest of us leave on Wed. at 8:45 a.m. How many hours ahead do you suggest both of us leave from The Sands?

What time of year? Peak season or non? Makes a difference
Mid December to mid May for Tuesday I'd be there at 1. Rest of the year I'd be there no later than 2
For am flight, only one, airport opens at 7 so you can't be there any sooner

If this helps at all, we have visited the second week in November for the last few years. Each time it took over two hours to get through security. An airline rep did expedite a few passengers who might otherwise have missed their flight.
Unless that has changed dramatically this year, I would follow the recommendation of your airline.
The only other option is the VIP Flyers Club. They offer a range of services starting with curbside pickup and fast escort through all lines. It can be very expensive, but worth the $$ especially for elderly passengers. We used it last year for my MIL.
