My husband and I are going to Anguilla for the first time in February and staying at Cap Juluca. We are total "foodies" but we also love beautiful atmosphere and water views and would like to eat at the very best restaurants while we're there. We only have 3 nights...what are your suggestions? Lunch suggestions would also be appreciated. By the way, hubby is a vegeterian.

Without a doubt the BEST waterfront restaurant location is Pimm's at Cap Juluca Resort ( the food there is very good). Ask for a waterfront table and you'll be dining just a foot or so from the water's edge. Oliver's is another spot where you can dine with a view of the water. Blanchard's is often rated very high on many peoples' list and although it is near the water you won't have any water views while dining.
Pimm's
Veya
Barrel Stay
Trattoria Tramonto (serves Lunch and dinner)
Straw Hat (serves Lunch and Dinner)
Dolce Vita
Mango's (serves lunch and dinner)
Koal Keel
E's Oven
Trattoria Tramento - great italian - home made pastas, fish
Mangos - Fresh Fish
DaVida - wonderful innovative Cuisine
Jacala - " - great salads
Straw Hat - good traditional menu
All serve lunch and dinner, all are on the water, all can accomodate vegetarian tastes
Thanks so much for the suggestions! Looking forward to trying them out.
Lunch at Hibernia is a foodie-must.
I'd suggest using the water view places for lunch as much as possible, since the sun sets usually earlier than when most people want to eat dinner (6:45 or so in the summer, earlier at other times of year). And after sunset, the waterfronts are usually so dark that it doesn't add to the ambience.
I think Veya is a must-do for dinner. They're not waterfront, but the ambience is just lovely.
I love Straw Hat, Mango's and Trattoria Tramonto and I like Jacala, but they're especially enjoyable by daylight for lunch.
