Hi, we are heading to Anguilla in october. We just realized that our favorite restaurant there, Blanchards, is closed for the season. Will lots of other restaurants be closed too? If yes, do you know which ones? Thank you! PS - we cannot go any other month.

Post your question on the Anguilla forum at TripAdvisor.com There are a lot of Anguilla experts there who can tell you which restaurants might be closed.
You should know a "Restaurant Closing List" is usually posted somewhere "on line" (the regular contributors on TripAdvisor can give you the link) but it is probably still a bit early for it to be published for this Fall.
FYI - while some places will definitely be closed you won't go hungry.
Most places start to open mid to end of Oct. There are a lot of options so no worries. I just got back and return Aug. 1. It's a great island.

This is great website, if you haven't already been on:

2 years ago I was able to change my dates because Blanchards was closed.
More restaurants than you think may open up early this year because Cap Juluca has decided to stay open year-round. I bet some restaurants do open up again by mid-ctober, though in the past it's been mid-November before most places opened. I can't say that with any certainty, but the Cap Juluca announcement just came out, so some places may change their closing dates.
The Anguilla Hotel and Tourism publishes a list of openings/closings each year using information provided by businesses on the island:

and another list for those who do not plan to close:

You should sign up for www.whatshappeninganguilla.com, its a monthly newsletter that's free and has lot of great info about what going on on the island.
The September issue of whats happening anguilla is going to have a list of closed restaurants - you should sign up at www.whatshappeninganguilla.com
Veya Cafe and Veya Restaurant have announced that they're reopening sometime in September and will be open in October.
I'm also going in October and I can tell you that other than Cap, Luna Rosa, Veya, Smokey's, DaVida and Ferryboat will all be open. I've got a list going at home of places I've contacted personally to see if they'll be open and if I remember to, I will post the list here.
We're there Oct 8-13. What about you? Where are you staying?
Here's the list I compiled of places that should be open when I'm there in October:
Veya Restaurant open Monday-Friday
Arawak Café at the Arawak Beach Inn
Blue at Cap Juluca
DaVida Restaurant
Elvis Beach Bar
Olivers Bar and Grill
Pimms Restaurant
Ripples Restaurant
Spice Restaurant at Cap Juluca
The Old Caribe at Anguilla Great House
The Garden Terrace Café @Paradise Cove
Maundy’s Club at Cap Juluca
Art Café
Luna Rosa
Pump House
I am on island now, and would like to add Roy's Bayside Grill, Picante, Blanchards, and E's Oven. They are all open now.
E's Oven is great but please boycott the Grouper..this fish is endangered..try the Mahi Mahi to your heart's content. Rum and Wing night at Ferry Boat is a must Wed.
