anguilla or turks and caicos

Okay, I've narrowed it down to either Anguilla or Turks and Caicos (Provo). I need the best beach, nicest hotel, and great food. How about some advice from some discerning travellers!!!!

You've got it. I have been to both and would strongly recommend Anguilla. Simply put it has the best beaches, and that's saying something to beat out T&C! It also has some of the best restaurants in the Caribbean (80 of them) and perhaps the world. And talk about nice hotels. Google Cuisinart resort or Cap Jaluca and you will be hooked. We are traveling to Anguilla for the fifth straight year this November. We've stopped going anywhere else.

I have been to both as well. Provo is more accessible as you can get there in one flight. Anguilla involves a ferry ride from SXM or a puddle jumper from one of the other hubs. Provo is definitely busier and a construction boom happening.

But, despite the extra travel time Anguilla is more upscale and would offer a richer West Indian experience. It's also handy to visit SXM for the day and have access to a totally different vibe

Have been to both and I would recommend Anguilla over Turks primarily because turks seems a bit crowded by my standards. The restaurants also are superior in my opinion.

Another vote for Anguilla over Provo. To put is bluntly, Provo is nowhere near in the same league with Anguilla.

For the best hotels check out Cap Juluca (on a fantastic beach), Cusinart (nice beach) or Malliouhana (good beach). FYI - Anguilla has 35 beaches most of which are among the best in the Caribbean so it's difficult to say one is better than the other, they are just different. No matter where you stay be sure to visit other beacvhes. If you don't you'll be missing a big part of what Anguilla has to offer.

As for food Anguilla has over 80 different restaurants and like the beaches, some are among the best in the Caribbean. Bring you wallet though as several can be quite expensive. Type "Anguilla Restaurants" in the Search box above and you'll find dozens of recent threads telling you everything you'd ever need to know about dining on Anguilla.

Wow!!! So glad I found this site. I cannot believe how helpful this has been. So, what do you think? Cuisinart or Cap Juluca? Or is there another worth considering?
