Anguilla or Hawaii
I realize that this is a difficult questions, but would you take a 10 year old
to the Big Island of Hawaii or Anguilla/
Malliouhana Hotel. Have been to Hawaii several times and love it, would there be
enough to do in Anguilla for a 10 year old?
What about in the evening at the Malliouhana?

hello,...we took our children,7 and 9, to anguilla for Thanksgiving this past year, we stayed at cuisinart and they had a great time..lots of other families there at that time ..other freinds of ours also have been to cuisinart at various times of the year and had no problem with there children ....last summer we also went to maui and had a great time together..stayed at the grand wailea....great spot for a 10 yr old...lots of water slides and great beach...we didnt go to malliouhana when we were in cuisinart but met a family that went for dinner one night and very disappointed with the service and prices....cant go wrong with either island

Take the youngster to Anguilla, a slight bit more cultural change you'd be doing 10 yr old a favor in the long run. Depends on your kid as to what activities they really need, many and most are just plain happy just spending time with you.

Hi - for me it would depend on where you plan on traveling from. I'm from the East Coast and it's a 12 hour flight from NYC to Hawaii rather than a 4 hour flight to St. Martin and a 20 minute ferry ride to Anguilla. On the other hand, if you're located closer to the West Coast and Southwest, it's considerably more difficult to get to Anguilla (sometimes including 2-3 planes and an over night in San Juan)while Hawaii is a 6 - 8 hour flight away.
Although I haven't stayed at Malli, I've been there for Sunset cocktails (just amazing, btw) and I've always seen kids either with their parents or with a baby sitter and always looking v. happy!
