All inclusive, non-couple oriented
Looking for an all inclusive resort that would be good for a group of adults (7 or 8) not couples oriented & not in Mexico....would be going in early September. Not looking for luxury, just active, fun, plenty to do.....Any ideas appreciated....thanks!

Turks & Caicos is NOT know as an AI Island (Only 3 AI's on the island) but, for no frills Club Med, very basic, non luxury but, very active place on a long beautiful beach! OR for more luxury on the same beach ( more to the west ) look at The Veranda...new AI , upscale & very nice!

Here's a list of AI resorts in the Caribbean.
Do some research and then come back if you have specific questions.

Be advised that September is prime hurricane season. If you want to chance it buy the hurricane/trip insurance in which you can cancel for any reason not just if your hotel closes or your airlines cancels your flight.
You might want to choose an Island known better for being outside of the hurricane belt like Aruba, Curacao, Barbados, St. Lucia or Grenada. Still not a guarantee, but a less liker chance.

September is not ideal for anywhere in the Caribbean unfortunately. For all-inclusives that aren't necessarily couples oriented I'd take a look at some of the offerings in Negril Jamaica (sorry can't help specifically because I never stay AI).

If you are looking for an upbeat all Inclusive hotel then I would highly recommend staying at the Gran Ventana in the Dominican Republic. It has a wide selection of food choices, pool bars and the beach in Puerto Plata is absolutely gorgeous. You can fill your day with snorkeling, diving, and sailing. The resort always has planned pool and beach volleyball games and offers activities for guests to participate in. I went last year and had a blast!
