Airport Help in St Martin from St Barth's

Hello

I was wondering if anyone has used the other airport in St Martin (L'Esperance)? I'm going to St Barth's in Nov and having trouble finding a flight off of St Barth's going to Juliana at a resonable time frame. There is an airline that flies from St Barths to L'Esperance airport. I'm having trouble founding out how far away it is from Juliana Airport. Has anyone tried getting back this way? I appreciate any kind of info. Thankyou

Esperance is in Grand Case. It's almost on the other side of the island from Juliana, but I still think you could do the transfer in 30 minutes unless you're driving at rush hour. St. Maarten isn't that big. What I'm not sure about is how available taxis are there. I'd recommend you make arrangements in advance for a taxi.

Doug is correct. You could get from Esperance to Juliana in 30 minutes IF there is no traffic. Usuauly with no traffic I would estimate 20 minutes driving time. But the island starts to get busy in November and sometimes the traffic from Grand Case, which is where Esperance is, to Juliana is pretty hectic, especially going through Marigot.
If it is lunch hour or any other kind of Marigot rush hour, it could take 20 minutes to get through Marigot alone.

another point.. don't forget to leave yourself enough time just in case the flight from St. Barth's leaves late.

stone1,

Take your question to the experts on www.stbartstalk.com. They have been invaluable to me planning our March trip. You could also check the forum at sbhonline.com but it is a moderated forum so it takes a while before your post shows up. Today (Sunday 1OCT) stbartstalk.com was down last I tried it.
