Your opinions requested! We are planning a honeymoon the last week in September of '97. We are looking into all-inclusive resorts south of Cancun. Has anyone ever stayed at the Robinson Club, the Diamond Resort, the Moon Palace, or the Carribean Village Playacar Golf and Beach Resort? I would like to get your feedback on your stay - the resort, food, activities, day trips to the ruins, Cancun, etc. I have done some research so far, but would like to get some information from people that have visited! Thanks for your help.

We went to Robinson Club 2 years ago. Have been to Royal Solaris (Cancun) twice and to Sandels (Jamaica) once. The majority of people (80%25) at the Robinson Club was German, their scuba instructions, for example, was in German. We didn't think the beach area by the resort was near as nice as Cancun. (Bad smell) but walked down the beach further and it was very pretty, more natural. Didn't think much of the larger dining area in the evening, but enjoyed great meals at the beach grill, with mainly just us and some of the help there. Looking back, there's been opposite things we liked about both, but Sandals, Jamaica has been the best!!
Entered wrong E-mail above if you have more questions. Also, we talked with some people that had been to Carribean Village, their main complaint was that all they had on the buffet in the evening was "pasta"! E-mail me at sschune@cyberlodg.com if you want. I'll be interest to know what you think if you go - I'm taking my daughter to Mexico sometime this year or the first of next year as a college graduation present!
I just came back from Caribbean Village Cancun on May 25. It was absolutley wonderful!!!! I did not go to Playacar but a friend went to another Allegro owned resort Diamond Village Playacar (your resort's sister hotel) and they said it was wonderful. The food at the Caribbean Village Cancun was great (except for the cheese, I am not sure what the deal is with Mexican cheese - beware). While you are there I highly recommend parasailing, we did and although it was scary it was the most beautiful and peaceful experience of my life. Go to Cozumel and go snorkeling. E-mail me at kpagano@daemen.edu for more info if you wish.
