Advice - Marriott

Thinking of booking the new Marriott for late fall. Read everyone's reviews, but still have a few questions I'm hoping to get help with.

1. Marriott beach and ocean swimming. Marriott is on the atlantic side, so how is the physical beach and water? Can you go swimming/snorkeling?

2. Wind. How windy is st kitts?

3. Restaurants outside of the marriott - how do you get to them (walk? taxi?) and which ones are recommended?
