Accommodations in Turks and Caicos
I am undecided between RWI, Alexandra or one of the Ocean Clubs. Would there be any reason to choose one over the other, location wise, or any other reason? My airfare is on airlock until Saturday so I need to make a final decision.
Thanks for any insights!

Thanks Caribzack - do you have any idea how close RWI is to Alexandra. Reason being is that I found what appears to be a quite nite second floor ocean view unit that has gotten good reviews on TA. I am undecided about renting a car, unless truly necessary as we are both walkers. I may rent one for a day or two, just to see the other areas.

The 2 are very far apart. RWI and Ocean Club are far from everything except the golf course and maybe Coyaba and Coco Bistro. That said, they are both nice properties. To us The Alexandra is just too huge a property---but that's a personal preference.
We'll be at Ocean Club West for the 4th time coming up soon. What we like:
The beach area is fantastic--enough chairs & umbrellas for all.
The winding river pool is picturesque and close to the beach for easy access.
The bar & restaurant is right next to the beach, again easy access.
The low rise buildings and beautifully landscaped grounds.
High-end Grace Bay Club on one side, Seven Stars on the other for your luxury bars & restaurants.
Ability to walk to several restaurants(taxis are very expensive.)
Downside:
The units are older(as in RWI and OC) but very well kept with spacious balconies.
This will be the first time we are renting a car for the time we are there. Last time we liked going to some other restaurants and can rent a car for less per day than the taxi ride back and forth.
If you look at a proerty site map, we walked from Ocean Club West to Hemingway's at the Sands for lunch---doable, but long, we took a cab back. We also walked to RWI and back for lunch. Between the 2 Ocean Clubs they have a shuttle, so that's really easy.

I love staying at the Alexandra Resort and Spa! It is very well kept, has beach access to Grace Bay which is 12 miles of perfect clear waters. The area is very safe, you can walk the entire beach, go snorkeling, kayaking (the list goes on.) They also have great dining options such as the Mango Reef Restaurant!
You can also walk to any of the other hotels on Grace Bay for a drink or meal and walk back(or take a taxi if you prefer!)
