With all the climatic changes in the past several years I was wondering for those of you who have stayed in Abaco Islands since 2003 what daily high and low temperatures can I expect. I would not go as far north as March Harbor but un or near Grand Abaco.
If I were looking for resort with about 100 guests, a nice beach, easy access to good snorkeling, rooms (with A/C) that were above Holiday Inn but not the better Hilton furnishing, but in Caribbean motif, and 2 story structures for $250/day with service and tax and with breakfast. Can I find such a place for a friend who is working on a tight budget but needs to go in High Season but after President's Week. Also, access to moderate priced dining (40-$50/couple) would keep the overall costs manageable. Any recent feedback would be welcomed. We were there 28 years ago when the only real non-boating resort was Treasure Key Resort on Grand Abaco Island so we are of little help to them. Thanks.
Abco Island Weather in late Feb.

We've stayed there a few times in the last several years...Christmas and spring break. Weather and water can be chilly in December, always beautiful in March. Not too hot at night, but sun is pretty intense. There are only a few places as big as you are looking for...you are going to be limited to Treasure Cay or the Marina hotel on Great Abaco. Green Turtle has a couple of mid-sized nice hotels, but not on the beach. We rent houses on the beach that are always very reasonable. Abaco Vacation Rentals has many.
Stan, your original sentence is confusing:
"I would not go as far north as March Harbor but un or near Grand Abaco."
I think you need to look at a map, and reconsider where you'd stay. Here's a page with a little map at the bottom:

Elbow Cay has a few resorts worth looking into, and it's adorable. But dinner prices can be a bit steep!
Also, Bahamas weather is simmilar to Florida. I'd think Feb would be too chilly for swimming or snorkeling, without a wetsuit.
