a real Sailboat day sail in STJ?
We are staying at Westin STJ in Nov. We wd Love to charter a real sailboat, not a catamarran.. for a half/full day sail with crew (other guests OK). Anyone done this? Thanks very much.

There are many regularly scheduled daily group sailboat outings from St. John. You could try looking at www.adventurestjohn.com, which is a good resource for sailboats on the island. A daysail usually costs less than $100 per person, but you'll end up pay hundreds of dollars if you want to charter a crewed sailboat for just yourselves. The Westin can also help you make these arrangements.

Breath-YES!!! This rec is from friends and family who've visited and now live there. And its original builder and captain, Peter has written the most amazing book too, about sailing, St John, and the Caribbean. If you book your trip on Breath, please read the book (Adrift on a Sea of Blue Light) knowing the amazing history of the boat you're on.
