Hi,
I am travelling to Mustique and Bequia and with most of the flights arriving in Barbados from New York i need to stay a couple of nights in Barbados.
I prefer quiet, small hotels near or on a beach, i looked at the hotel that has the pepper pot restaurant but it seems too far from the airport 45min to an hour drive.
any suggestions ?
we do not want to hire a car so nearby retsaurants would also be helpful.
many thanks,
Angie
3 nights in Barbados, small intimate Hotel near beach required

Check out www.peachandquiet.com. Very small, great location not far from the airport. We've been twice and will be returning again - lots of folks staying there were doing the Bequia/Mustique thing. Great food and very relaxing! Do a search on this site for further details.
We really liked Coral Sands--www.coralsandsresort.com. About 20 min eide from the airport in Worthing, Christ Church Parrish Small quiet and intimate. Lovely non touristy beach. Pool and restaurant on site and within 20 min walking distance of st Lawrence Gap.
Howard or Lois--My husband and I are interested in staying at Coral Sands in late Oct. Is there a certain room or floor we should ask for? Thanks for your help!
We always stay in room #305. Try to get the upper floors for the good view. We have stayed at Coral Sands numerous times and absolutely love it. If you want to cook a little, the "Big B" is a couple blocks away.
Howard, I see you are back. Hope you had a good time . Trip report??? Owa
Purdue--I agree with Owa. Upper floors are better. We also stayed on the third floor--an end unit--think 309. Balconies are totally private.
Owa. Got back yesterday Pm. Still rentering. Had a wonderful time. Trip report hopefully this weekend.
To those of you who have stayed at Coral Sands Resort----Have you booked your room directly with the resort or found a better rate from another source? Thanks for your help!
I booked direct with the hotel. Believe the of season rate is about $175 which is a good deal for what you get.
