1st time to Caribbean/Turks & Caicos - suggestions

Hello~

My husband and I are planning a trip to TCI and this will be our first time to the Caribbean. We are on the west coast, so usually go to Hawaii or Mexico. We are in our early 40's with no children. We like to relax on the beach, eat/drink, snorkel, explore other beaches, pretty low key. We are thinking about going the last week of Feb/ 1st week of March (thought this might be a good time since it's after President's week and hopefully before spring break). Looking into staying at Seven Stars Resort. I wanted to get some opinions on going this time of year and if you think this is a good choice for accommodations. April is also a possibility, but would rather go sooner than later.

Also, I've seen that mosquitoes and no-see-ums can be an issue. Has anyone had a problem with the these?

Thanks for your help!

Seven Stars is awesome

February is almost sold out! March is Canadian Spring breaks, and some colleges so also filling ip fast-- if you see available when you want to go, book it now!

Any time is good to go! ;-). That water is soooo beautiful

More than Mosquitos, there's No-See-Ums at dusk and after rain, but not as bad as other hillier islands (Virgins for example). Restaurants are outdoors, so spray right before dinner. None on the beaches. (unless you venture to Middle Caicos)

You might want a car some of the time, taxi is outrageous expensive. Explore (Chalk Sound is an amazing sight, and Sapodilla and Taylor Bays are different) at least for a couple of days. This way you can also go off beach snorkeling, it's a little far from Seven Stars (beach is 12 miles!)

Seven Stars was incredible!

make sure you get out on their boat! Our whole boat had such a great party we all decided to do it again the next day!

Seven Stars is spotless and well run!

You will absolutely love the resort and Grace Bay!
