Hi. Planning a last minute drive to Whistler next month. First time there just wondering if folks had suggestions on things to do with a 4 year old, top restaurant choices, and if Stoney Creek Northstar condos in North Whistler Village area are a good choice or not. Or whether it even matters to be located in village area or not!?

Can't help personally as the only place we ever stayed in Whistler was long ago and in winter.

However, you might try 'searching' using just 'Whistler' as your key term: there appears to be lots of info, some relating specifically to your question.

I was curious so I just did a search and found a detailed trip report where the poster stayed at Stoney Creek this past winter--I don't know how to link specific threads but it was from March of this year and the title is "Whistler Trip Report".

I like being in the village but not on the main walking route because that can get noisy with people walking back to their lodging after the bars close so a place like Stoney Creek that's out of the main part would be good I think.

My top restaurant choices would not be good for a young child so I'll leave that to someone else, unless you're planning to get a sitter ;-).

Yes,NW, I actually turned up a search about Whistler in August and another about travleing with kids, so OP should be fine...

I have stayed a stoeny creek a few times.They have some units that let pet stay,that is also called stoney creek.pet friendly.There are many places for young children to eat.The spagetti factory is one,many outdie eating places like beaver tails.forgive the spelling. Whistler has many activities for kids.they have many things to do in the village as well as the blackhomb benchland.poney rides ,alpine slides,trampling thing .you can rent tag a long bike so you can hook them up and go on the valley trail to some of the alpine lakes or just to lost lake for a swim in the family areaIf you are going to be there in the first part of august,you will be able to see some of the mt. bike races call crankcase.sometime they will also have a parade of the tots on there bikes..I hope to there with my golden to watch a few before hitting canine cove at lost lake ...O

Hi Whistler is a very kid friendly town, considering that the average age is ~ 30 yrs old. Lots of young families. I like the upper village and with the free village buses everything is convenient. Some restaurant suggestions would be Mongolie grill, Village Sushi, Earls or basically anywhere that looks good considering your childs dispositionon that given day. Youwill see lots of strollers around town. Have a great time
