Which is the best Marriott hotel in Toronto?

Hi all,
Need advice on a good Marriott hotel in
the downtown area (or closeby.) I am currently looking at the Marriott Eaton Centre, Courtyard Downtown, Reniassance at Skydome, or Bloor Yorkville. Fodorite's rate
the Eaton Centre best, last I looked. Just
want to goof off for a few days with the
kids...maybe visit the Science Center.
Thanks,
Auty1

The Skydome is a little bit out of the way (npot that much, but compared to the others...)

The Yorkville one is just east on Yonge, right by a subway station, a couple of blocks from the Royal Ontario Museum, in the part of town I like best.

Coutryard is on the way downtown, just off Yonge Street, and is the worst of the locations, but still excellent for shopping, close to the subway, good restaurants nearby.

EAton Centre is right up against the back of the Eaton Centre shopping mall, which is connected to the tunnel system. Close to good restaurants for kids (and partents) I atr at Mr. Greenjeans, within sight of the hotel, today, because we wanted good hamburgers.

The Skydome is close to Harbourfront, a few blocks from lots of restaurants, furthers from the subway but close to Spadina, where the streetcar links to two different subway stations. I think of this as the quietest of the selection, unless there's sinmething going on at Skydome.

Eaton Center is most executive-like.

No matter which you pick, you'll end up close to the others during your visit as you move around the city.

Thanks BAK,
Appreciate your quick response....
I was wondering about something I read
in one of the travel books. It said
something about the area around the
Eaton Centre being "Pick-Pocket Row??"
Is this not a good area to stay if
you have young kids?
Thanks again,

Whoever wrote the travel book doesn't have a clue what he's talking about.

Pickpockets are not a problem in Toronto; that said, don't leave your wallet hanging out of your purse.

I have had young kids, now 27 and 31; I now have a nine year old boy.

Thanks again BAK, for your quick response.
So you think Eaton Centre would be
the best bet with children, or is
the Yorkville a better choice?
Thanks...
