We will be in NB in June to visit the Bay of Fundy. We are interested in seeing the Hopewell Rocks (at both high and low tides) as well as the Cape Enrage lighthouse. Where is the best location to overnight -- two nights?
It looks like Alma offers the most but it appears to be far from Hopewell Rocks. We are also considering the Riverside-Albert area or even Hopewell Cape.
We don't want to spend the entire time driving back and forth in the car, so we would like a somewhat central location. BUT, a town with a variety of restaurants and maybe somewhere to walk around at night.
Hotel/B&B/Inn recommedations are greatly appreciated. We need a place that will take a famiy of 3 (traveling with a 12-year-old)...a room with a view of the bay would be even better.
Thanks.

You aren't that far from Alma to Hopewell Rocks. You will typically visit twice - once during low tide and once during high tide. There isn't much else there. At least in Alma there are a few shops, the national park, restaurants, etc. Cape Enrage is about halfway inbetween.
How far a drive is it from Alma to Hopewell Rocks -- about how many minutes? I am definitely leaning toward staying in Alma b/c there seems to be more to do and see in the "off hours" we're not watching the tide.
Do you -- or anybody -- have any recommendations for a nice place to stay?
Last year we visited the rocks before staying in Alma. The next day we returned to the rocks for the tide change and then continued our tour via Alma to the Fundy nat.park.The entrance fee for the rocks always covers two days so you can see the tide change. The Alpine motor inn in Alma is a great place to stay.Paul
