Where to stay in Montreal?

Jump to last reply

Planning a trip to Montreal in August for me and kids in their 20s. I have not been since Expo 67! Any advice on the best area to stay in or specific hotel? Air conditioning is a must. We'd like to be near a metro stop, near a grocery store of at least modest size, and in a lively/fun but not too noisy area ideally. Our activities will likely include museums, concerts, walking around, maybe biking, eating great food, and just enjoying the ambiance. I'm considering the Westin, which appears central with a nice pool facility and with decent views from many rooms. The downside is it may not have the charm of some other hotels, being a large chain. Any advice is welcome! Thank you so much.
