Yes, very nice. Yes, for most things. Yes I would. Not that I know of. Your welcome
Hi - the Westin is a pretty standard big chain hotel. The one consideration is whether you want to stay at the lakefront. If you're coming other than summertime, there's not much going on there, particularly at night. If you're coming for business you might find it a bit inconvenient to the business district. Hope this helps!
Don't stay there, it is too far out of the way. We stayed at the Sheraton Centre on Queen Street West, which is part of the same Starwood Hotel Group.
The location there is wonderful, you have two subway stops right there and can walk to most places.
The service there is wonderful and if you are flying in the airport bus drops off and picks up right at the hotel.
I think Nettie works for Sheraton...every Toronto Hotel post has a Nettie plug for the Sheraton...The Westin HC is a first class stay, on the water, steps away from the Island Ferrys and the hustle/ bustle of the Harbourfront...there are dozens of things nearby...
Gary, I was thinking the same thing about Nettie!
To Gary and Susan:
Did you ever think that this Nettie Person likes this hotel.
I too would suggest hotels if I had good experience with them.
I just answered someone else about the comparison of the Westin, the Sheraton Centre and the Four Seasons. I will repeat only that the Sharaton Centre is superior from mid-October to mid-April only because it is totally conncted via the undrground city to everything while the Westin requires a short, (about 3-5 blocks, outside walk to reach the centre of downtown Toronto. In the summer it is a wonderful area of funky shopping and restaurants and minutes from the Toronto Islands via the ferries which leave adjacent to the hotel. The rooms are at least marginally nicer than the Sheraton and the ambience is much more relaxing.
